Henry W. Longfellow is a DISD magnet school, where
students must apply to be accepted. The selection
criteria is primarily based on test scores and overall
GPA in core curriculum classes. Students who apply
and who qualify will be contacted to schedule a time
to write a one to two page essay on site.
It is also asked that students submit original works
such as poems, essays, stories, and other creative
writing examples. Problem solving activites such as
logic problems and solutions will also be accepted.
Go to the www.dallasisd.org

applications. The deadline is usually in February.
After a student has completed the application process,
