Tom C. Gooch is the former publisher, editor in chief and president of the Dallas Times Herald. This easy-going man wore many hats. He served as chairman of the board of directors at KRLS radio, director of the State Fair of Texas, director of the Dallas Metropolitan Opera, and on the board of directors of the Southwestern Medical School. He also was active with the Community Chest and the American Red Cross.
