Louise Wolff Kahn and her husband were wealthy philanthropists who gave an estimated $20 million to foster education and the arts. They were interested in helping those who could not fulfill their potential without a helping hand and were instrumental in getting many minority businesses started. Funds from their foundation helped complete a reading room, state-of-the-art auditorium, and music room at Kahn Elementary.
