Motto/Mission:
The mission of Trinidad "Trini" Garza Early College High School is to graduate high school seniors who have the opportunity to earn an Associate's Degree during the high school years. Through academic effort and motivation, Garza ECHS students have the ability to earn and accumulate enough dual credit or college credit at Mountain View College to graduate from both high school and community college.

All students have the opportunity to achieve not only a high school diploma but sixty hours towards an associate's degree.

Trinidad “Trini” Garza has been a life-long advocate of public education and its access to all individuals. Mr. Garza was the FIRST Hispanic elected to the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees and served in that capacity for two terms from 1969 – 1970 and from 1991-1994. During his life’s work, Mr. Garza received several Presidential appointments (from both President Clinton and President Carter). He currently serves as the Executive Director of La Voz del Anciano (Voice of the Elderly). Mr. Garza received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas A & M and worked at LTV and the Naval Air Station and Kelly Air Force base during his career as an electrical engineer. Mr. Garza has spent his life’s work in the service of others, including serving in the U. S. Navy and serving on numerous Boards of Directors such as the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Texas CAN Academy. Mr. Garza’s commitment to promoting and furthering educational prospects for all students is a demonstrable example of the opportunities that are offered to Garza ECHS students as they pursue a high school diploma and/or an Associate’s Degree.
