Student representation on School Zone Dallas from the Radio/TV cluster; Telly Awards in 2004 and 2005; Emmy Award to School Zone Dallas with our student Royce Williams as anchor; two former students who have received recording contracts Humanities Cluster interdisciplinary exhibits in The Lincoln Gallery; student poets published in national poetry anthology CELEBRATION; students who placed first and second in the ACT-SO competition; awarded outstanding accomplishments for the ABIOLA Literary Magazine; World Classroom Excursions for environmental studies project in Alaska, Ohio, and Montanta; alpine study and aeronautical engineering project; San Diego Zoo project; Chicago Art Study; teaching comupers in techonology in Bejing, China The Lincoln Lantern newspaper received the Award of Honor from UIL; journalism students placed first, second, and third in state competition in editorial writing; students advanced to regional in all categories of UIL; The Dallas Morning News Award given to The Lincoln Lantern


Lincoln High School, which opened in 1939, was named for the newly developed African-American community of Lincoln Manor.
