National Merit Scholars 2 District Champions in Varsity Football and Girls Varsity Volleyball for 2005! Celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2004 Tim Brown - Heisman Trophy winner in 1987 Davey O'Brien - Heisman Trophy winner in 1938 Extraordinary Alumni: Ruth Collins - 1940 (served on the SMU Board of Trustees 1968-1987) Dr. Floyd Bloom -1954 - Neuroscience medicine and author Dr. Charles Max Cole-1932 - President of Dallas County Medical Society; Chief of Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital; Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Thomas Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) Served as the 28th president of the United States (1913-1921). He was a crusader for peace and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Peace in 1919.
