Edward Henry Cary, born in Alabama, arrived in Dallas in 1901. Becoming a prominent figure in the medical community his influence extended from Dallas to the rest of the nation. In the late 1950's, to commemorate his accomplishments and his gifts to society, Edward Henry Cary Middle School was named in his honor.
