Texas Education Agency rating: Recognized 2001-2002, Academically Acceptable 2005-2006, Gold Performance in Reading, Writing, and Math. Arlington Park Community Learning Center was recognized in "D" magazine as being the Best Elementary Schools in Dallas.


The Arlington Park Community Learning Center is located north of downtown Dallas. The community is one of the oldest African American communities in Dallas. The Arlington Park community and the residents looked forward to the opening of a new elementary school. The district approved the building of the school in 1956 and opened in 1957, which was named Arlington Park Community Learning Center.
