Congratulations to staff and students of J. P. Starks for receiving 5 stars of distinction for academic achievement on the STAAR Test. Due to hard word and dedication of students and staff, Starks received 5 Stars for the following areas: Reading, Science, Top 25% for Student Progress, Top 25% for Closing the Gap, and Post Secondary Commended performance. Keep up the great work as we look forward to receiving stars in all areas at the end of this year.
Congratulations to Ms. Joy Runnels and Ms. Patsy Williams for applying for and receiving the Grant for Innovative Teaching sponsored by the Junior League of Dallas. Both grants will allow for the continuation of the Sisters in Science Robotics Club and a new robotics club for boys. We look forward to developing future engineers which will help design and power this global society.
J. P. Starks MST celebrated its very first Storybook Character Day. The students and staff came dressed as their favorite story book character. At the close of the day, all participants participated in a school-wide parade. Hats off to our J. P. Starks Storybook Characters.
