Born and raised in Southern California, Ms. Landry moved to Texas when she accepted a scholarship to play soccer at Southern Methodist University and she has never looked back! Upon graduating from SMU with a degree in psychology and education, she started her career in Dallas ISD in January of 2012. Since then, Ms. Landry has earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership at SMU and has served as a 4th, 5th, and 7th grade ELAR teacher, ELAR Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. She has proudly been a part of the teams at Lipscomb Elementary, JL Long Middle School, Marsh Preparatory Academy, and WT White High School.

Before joining the team at WT White, Ms. Landry pursued a lifelong dream by moving to Central America to continue studying Spanish and becoming a scuba diving instructor. After almost a year of living in Mexico and Belize, she felt a void that she knew could only be filled by returning to her calling- helping kids. She returned to the United States and joined the staff of WT White as the administrator over ELAR and B-TECH. Her year and a half with WT White B-TECH has been the most fulfilling time of her career. During her time there, WT White B-TECH grew to have 100% of B-TECH scholars on-track to graduate with their Associate’s Degree and has the highest college course success rate in the district. She believes the most powerful thing her students can leave the program with is options and has restructured WT White B-TECH to ensure academic success and co-curricular involvement are not mutually exclusive. She loves using data to create more efficient systems, and if you want to see her get excited, ask about her latest spreadsheet!

Ms. Landry believes we are all charged with doing right by kids and one of the primary ways she can do this is by supporting a collaborative school culture where staff, parents, and all other stakeholders are not only heard, but invited to help create a shared vision founded in shared values. She is passionate about the early college program because it only takes one child to change the trajectory of an entire family. The outcomes of the early college program are truly changing the world, and she is honored to be part of the ECHS program in Dallas ISD.

Ms. Landry feels privileged to join the team at Dr. Wright L. Lassiter, Jr. Early College High School in El Centro and is eager to continue the established tradition of excellence.

Ms. Landry is the proud aunt of niece Peyton and nephew Elliott. When she is not working, you can find her playing with a spreadsheet, facetiming her niece and nephew, or scuba diving in caves in Mexico.
