  • SOLAR PREP OFFERING PRE-KINDER IN AUGUST 2018

    FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED
For this year only, there will not be a lottery for Pre-K. Admission will be based on a first-come-first-served basis!

Girls admitted in Pre-K will automatically move into kinder at Solar Prep.

Solar Prep offers both free and tuition-based Pre-K programs. For both programs, a child must be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2018 to be eligible.

Pre-K students are in school from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Transportation to school is provided, but parents must pick up at 3 p.m. The YMCA after-school program is available for parents.

Children can attend Dallas ISD Pre-K for free, without paying tuition, if they meet at least ONE of the following requirements:

    1.  The child is eligible to take part in the national free or reduced-price school lunch program. To find out if your child is eligible, click here.
    2.  The child is unable to speak and comprehend the English language.
    3.  The child is homeless.
    4.  The child is a dependent of an active duty member of the U.S. armed forces.
    5.  The child is or has been in foster care.

Again, they only have to meet ONE of these requirements to qualify for free Pre-K. If you do not qualify for free Pre-K, you can still enroll your child in the tuition-based Pre-K program.
