At the exemplary John Neely Bryan Elementary School, our mission is to provide a safe and secure learning environment in which students gain the behavioral and academic skills to become successful. We empower students to learn by providing a rigorous curriculum and extracurricular activities, promoting collaboration, and allowing students to be stakeholders in their own education.
Over the past five years, John Neely Bryan Elementary School has implemented many innovative programs and research-based instructional practices, placing student academic performance on an upward trend. During the 2010-2011 school year, students were allowed to select at least one of many extracurricular activities within the school in which to participate. We pride ourselves on challenging students to perform to their utmost potential.
The school staff connects with parents and the community to ensure student success in all areas. Parents are valued partners and are encouraged to participate in school activities. Our staff hosts monthly workshops prior to PTA meetings on topics of interest to parents. Other parent involvement opportunities include assisting in classrooms, participating in PTA and Booster Clubs, and serving on the Campus Improvement Planning committee.
