Help Design Your Neighborhood School Join a School Design Charette
Dallas ISD Bond and Construction is launching the Bond 2020 program with virtual design charettes 14 new replacements schools. On November 3, voters approved Proposition A, which provided $3.2 billion to fund repairs and upgrades to more than 200 of the district’s 230 campuses. The proposition also includes funding for replacement schools for W. H. Atwell Law Academy, Dallas Environmental Science Academy, Henry W. Longfellow Career Exploration Academy, Everette DeGoyler Elementary, Albert C. Black Elementary (Elisha M. Pease/W. W. Bushman Consolidation campus), Geneva Heights Elementary, Martha Turner Reilly Elementary, John Quincy Adams Elementary, Herbert Marcus Elementary, George Peabody Elementary, Lenore Kirk Hall Elementary school. School staff, parents, and community stakeholders are invited to help design these new schools by participating in School Design Charettes. Stakeholders will gather virtually to share their ideas and aspirations for each new school. The workshops will include online facilitated small group discussions, surveys, and polls.
