Chealsie Sanchez is a native of Dallas, Texas, who attended high school in Red Oak, TX. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned a BA in journalism and mass communication. She has also earned a masters in educational leadership and policy studies from UT-Arlington.
Ms. Sánchez spent nine years with the Waxahachie Independent School District working as an elementary dual language teacher, an instructional technology coordinator and a coordinator of digital learning. She has presented at the Texas Computer Educators Association Conference, iPadPalooza, and helped organize the Camp iNation teaching and technology conference. She is currently earning a certification as a Google Educator and is passionate about creating student-centered learning environments where students feel empowered and where their creativity can blossom. She loves attending educational conferences, growing her knowledge and professional network via social media, reading and watching sports. She has a ten-year-old son named Micah and a cute Pomeranian named Sasha.
