Demetrius Ethley was born in Fort Worth Texas. He has taught in public schools in Fort Worth and Dallas since 2000. Demetrius majored in Music Education and Mass Communications with Radio/TV Emphasis at Texas Weslyan University where he graduated in 1996. Mr. E, as he is better known by, has acted professionally in theater and film along with producing a live gospel album with originally penned music.

Welcome to Vocal Music and Piano Studies at Carter High School. Novice Students to Advanced Students will be at home here at Carter. With support from Fine Arts Chamber Players and the Choir Booster Club, students enrolled in the Chorale or Piano Program get private lessons in order to sharpen their skills. Personnel for the Vocal Music/Piano Studies Programs are: Demetrius D. Ethley (Choir Director), John Tatum (Piano Instructor), Arielle Collier (Vocal Instructor), Jordan Hammons (Vocal Instructor), and Alfreylynn Roberts (Vocal Instructor).
