Solar Preparatory School for Boys launched in August 2018 with PK-2. As the first public all-boys elementary school in Texas, it opened with the hope to create an environment where every boy can thrive.  As a Transformation school in Dallas ISD, the campus aims to support boys in becoming the leaders they are truly meant to be.

With strong administrative leadership, opportunities for mentoring and a rich instructional environment, Solar Preparatory provides boys the right balance of boundaries, high expectations and opportunities to explore their potential.

Admission to Solar Prep is open to all boys who live within Dallas ISD boundaries, and there are no academic entry requirements. A randomized, computerized lottery, weighted to achieve 50/50 socioeconomic diversity, will determine which applicants are awarded the open spots.
