Principal - Dr. Ashley Belton
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication from the University of Houston, Dr. Belton began her career as an elementary teacher. Once she gained experience in various leadership positions, she earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University and a doctoral degree in Education Administration from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Before becoming an assistant principal, she had the opportunity to serve as a special education teacher, dyslexia interventionist, fourth and fifth-grade support teacher, and dean of students. Dr. Belton came to Personalized Learning Preparatory at Sam Houston as the founding assistant principal because she believed that students would thrive in a one-size-fits-one educational environment. Dr. Belton looks forward to working with the students, teachers, parents, and the community as the principal of PL Prep and continuing the legacy of creating individuals who are compassionate, intentional, reflective, and empowered.
