Ms. Britney Finn, ED.S

I am a highly skilled educator, with seven years’ experience working with special education and diverse populations in an urban public school setting in Texas and Virginia. I am adept in managing behavioral, educational and social needs of students. I provide intensive support and supervision in all areas including academic, vocational and personal care. I coordinate enriching community-based experiences that enhance domestic, recreation/leisure and vocational skills for students with special needs. I supervise and support students during work experience internships paid and unpaid.

I encourage students to be empathetic, self-advocates who are motivated and aware of their weaknesses as they enhance their strengths so that they can be as independent as possible. I keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies for special education teachers. I coordinate and advise intentional activities, events, and experiences both academic and non-academic to enhance skills, knowledge and the quality of life for all students.

In addition to my experience and personal qualities, I have a solid education foundation and a passion for caring for all students, especially those with special needs. I am extremely enthusiastic about serving students in the functional living skills classroom focusing on the promotion of inclusion and teaching life and vocational skills.
