David Rodriguez was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. He earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León (UANL), and prior to relocating to Texas, he worked for multinational corporations such as American Express and Boehringer Ingelheim. In 2017, he graduated from SMU with a Masters in Urban Educational Leadership as part of the Teaching Trust, Aspiring Leadership Program.

    In 2006, he started his educational career in Dallas ISD. He served his first 9 years as a bilingual teacher at Urban Park Elementary and Cigarroa Elementary, where he was honored to be recognized as Teacher of the Year on both campuses respectively. In 2015, he was promoted as a Reading Instructional Coach, and after graduating from his Master’s program, he joined ACE, CF Carr Elementary, as an Assistant Principal.

   Mr. Rodriguez joined the Principal Residency Program in 2022 before transitioning as the proud principal of the amazing Home of the All-Stars, David G. Burnet  Elementary, in Northwest Dallas.
