Dear Bayles Elementary Families,
Welcome Back! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. I also hope you are relaxed, re-energized, and ready to start a new school year. I am thrilled that you are a part of our amazing learning community. I welcome and value our partnership to achieve excellence and equity in education for all children at Bayles.
We are a “Leader-in-Me School ®” and will begin our journey as a Choice School for Leadership this school year. Our goal is to prepare every child for 21st-century success by placing high expectations, academic excellence, career and college readiness, and social-emotional development at the forefront of our educational philosophy. Learners will develop the skills to become proactive leaders, effective communicators, role models, creative and critical thinkers, collaborators, self-managers, and goal-directed thinkers.
Our skilled and devoted staff is planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our enthusiastic office team is registering new families, ordering needed materials, and updating student files. Our hardworking and conscientious custodians have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the facility. We are gearing up to welcome families, provide volunteer opportunities, and offer other exciting events and programs. We are a joyous and caring community with the goal of equipping students to become responsible leaders and life-long learners.
Each year brings positive change. We are delighted to welcome a few additions to our staff Ms. Webster – 3rd grade Teacher, Ms. Rodriguez - 4th Teacher, Ms. Guadalupe - 1st grade teacher, Mr. Fitzgerald - 4th grade ELAR/Math Teacher, Ms. Trujillo - PreK4 Teacher, Mr. Smith - Redirection teacher, Mr. Vault - Math Demonstration Teacher, Ms. Alonzo - Reading Interventionist, and Ms. Gilzean – Campus Coordinator.
A great deal of time, effort, and thought has gone into the process of student placement for the 2023-2024 school year. Careful consideration was given to input from staff and families as well as student learning styles. Classrooms have been balanced academically and socially. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level.
Thank you for being positive with your child and helping him or her to transition to a new grade, peer group, and teacher.
Your commitment to ensuring that Bayles Elementary becomes a premier campus where all students are prepared to be tomorrow's leaders is inspiring. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your principal. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.
Warmest Regards,
Gloria Kennedy, Principal
