Ms. Gina Maffucci

Hello! My name is Gina Maffucci and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Biomedical Preparatory. I grew up in Danbury, Connecticut and attended American University in Washington, D.C. I moved to Dallas, TX in 2013 as part of Teach for America and taught reading at Balch Springs Middle School in Dallas ISD. My journey led me to Kramer Elementary as a reading language arts and social studies teacher. I earned my Master of Education from SMU in 2016. In 2017, I was recognized as a Dallas ISD finalist for Elementary Teacher of the Year. I served as a Campus Instructional Coach for three years at Ben Milam Elementary School. While serving as an Instructional Coach, I supported teachers and aimed to create a learning environment that developed the whole child which led me to complete my Principal Certification at UT Arlington. I was promoted to Assistant Principal at Ben Milam Elementary during the 2021-2022 school year. I helped found Biomedical Preparatory last school year as the Assistant Principal and am excited to continue in the role this year. This will be my 11th year in education and 6th year as an instructional leader.

My vision for the school year is to build and grow the Biomedical Prep learning community. I aspire for all students to develop curiosity to explore the world around them and to grow as empathetic, resilient thinkers. I am excited to build a transformational teaching and learning environment for teachers and for students at Biomedical Preparatory’s innovative campus. I am looking forward to getting to know all students, parents, and stakeholders to help accomplish what is possible for students.
