“I am fortunate enough to carry out my purpose in this world, every day.”

    ~Ms. Francine Taylor

Ms. Taylor has been in service of public education since 1999. Her path started as a high school Social Studies teacher in Athens-Clarke County, GA for six years.  She was mentored by a leader who saw potential and provided opportunities for growth.  This early experience cultivated a desire in Ms. Taylor to invest in others to realize their own potential by facilitating experiences and opportunities to build their capacity.

Her next step allowed her to combine two loves, education and life coaching as she worked as a Program Manager with the Region XIII Education Service Center (ESC13), in Austin Texas for six years.  Within this role she worked throughout the state of Texas and nationally in support of school improvement and turnaround work, with a focus on secondary schools.

Ms. Taylor sought her next opportunity in the city she calls home, Dallas, TX.  She joined DISD central staff in 2012 as a Coordinator with DISD Division 5.  In 2014, she was honored to be named the principal of DISD’s Ann Richards STEAM Academy, in Pleasant Grove, where she served for 5 years. While at ARSA she was honored in 2018 to be named the Secondary Principal of the Year for the Northeast Secondary Network.  Under her leadership, ARSA earned a TEA Rating of a B and four Texas Education Agency Designations:  Academic Achievement for ELAR, Top 25% Academic Growth, Top 25% Closing the Gap, and Post-Secondary Readiness.  For the 2019-2020 School Year she earned DISD Master Principal Designation, indicating top 10% of DISD Principals.  Ms. Taylor was honored to be recognized as the 2019-2020 Dallas Independent School District Secondary Principal of the Year.  Ms. Taylor continued to serve the Pleasant Grove Dallas community when she assumed the role of principal of H. Grady Spruce High School in the 2019 school year.  Ms. Taylor values the special, caring, and committed Spruce High School family and is excited to be and serve her Timberwolf community!
