Public Education Grant (PEG)

  • The state’s PEG (Public Education Grant), authorized under the Texas Education Code, Chapter 29, Subchapter G, §29.201, and revised under House Bill 22 (85 Texas Legislature) has identified your student’s campus as a 2019-2020 PEG campus. Beginning in August 2018, campuses that receive an Improvement Required rating in both the Student Achievement domain and the School Progress domain will be placed on the 2019–2020 PEG List.

    If your child is enrolled at a PEG school, you have the option to have your student attend another campus for the 2019-2020 school year by applying for a PEG transfer. You will find the list of non-PEG school choices located at the following link: www.dallasisd.org/federalandstate. Please note that approval of such a transfer is dependent on space availability at your selected school and that district transportation is not provided to the new campus.

    To apply for a PEG Transfer, parents should complete and bring, mail, or fax the PEG Transfer Application before May 1, 2019 to:

    Upon approval of transfer, parents will receive notification in the form of an acceptance letter from the Federal and State Accountability Office. Parents will take acceptance letter to the selected school when enrolling their student for the 2019-2020 school year.
