Jill Stone
1938-2004
After working in education and the medical field for several years, Mrs. Stone made a decision that would impact many people. In 1988, Jill Stone chose to devote her life to others without pay.
In recognition of her many contributions, in June 2005, the Board of Trustees voted to rename Vickery Meadow Elementary School to Jill Stone Elementary School at Vickery Meadow. Even after her death in 2004, her work continues in the programs she helped develop, and in the hearts of all she touched. The Vickery Meadow students attending Benjamin Franklin Middle School and Vickery Meadow Elementary School were her primary focus.
