Overview of Program

Elementary Music is a required class for all elementary students. Elementary music classes immerse students in a varied curriculum that establishes a musical foundation through singing, movement, games, instruments, music history, and performance. Students will attend music classes a minimum of once per week during the school year.

Vision 

Dallas ISD Elementary Music offers students opportunities to participate in after school choir programs, the Music Memory Contest, and the Dallas ISD Elementary Honor Choir.

Recognitions/Honors  

Dallas ISD Elementary Music is a major reason why Dallas ISD was recognized as a Best Community for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants in 2020.
