MR. LUIS PADILLA
Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, Mr. Padilla has taught Spanish at Hillcrest since 1999. He decided to become an educator so that he could inspire children to learn, just as his teachers fostered his love of knowledge. He graduated in 1986 from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire, with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Management. In 2002, he completed a Graduate Summer Program: Curso Superior de Cultura Hispanica, Universitas Castilla, Valladolid, Spain. In 2004, he completed an M.A. in Spanish from Texas A&M University-Commerce, Commerce, Texas. Outside of Hillcrest, Mr. Padilla directs the Sabor Latino Salsa Band.
