I am a third-grade bilingual teacher with four years of experience. I taught as a special education teacher before transitioning into 3rd grade. My experience in special education provided me with a foundation to adapt teaching to meet student needs and help them reach their individual goals, for all students are capable of growth. Third grade is a crucial transition year for students, and it has been a pleasure to help guide students and collaborate with parents through this academic milestone. Learning occurs when students develop a spirit of inquiry, leading them to take ownership of their learning, which will encourage them to take their learning beyond the walls of our classroom. I strive to foster this by providing engaging experiences, encouraging a productive struggle, cultivating bilingualism, and holding students to high expectations while providing them with the tools to succeed in their academic, linguistic, and personal goals.
