• LIBRARY POLICIES

Hours:   The library is open everyday! The Clara Oliver Library catalog can be accessed 24 hrs a day and on the week end by visiting the link http://ls2.dallasisd.org/?config=pac#section=home  Students may come with their class or at other times, preferably with a pass from their classroom teacher.  The library is also open before school around 7:45 a.m. for student check out and study.
Loans:   Kindergarten students may check out 1 book at a time for one week.  1st through 5th grade students may check out 1-2 books at a time for two weeks.  If needed for a school project, a student may check out an additional book.  Books may be renewed unless there is someone who wants it next.  PK students are currently browsing books as part of their library learning experience.

Fines:   Students are expected to be responsible library patrons and return their library books on time.  There are no late book fines; however, a replacement cost fine will be assessed for lost or damaged library books.  If there are special financial circumstances, let the librarian know so that together something can be worked out.

Library Visits:  All students visit the library once a week for storytime (PK-2), library skills lessons, and book selection.  There is also flex time during the school day for visits on an as-needed basis.

    Have fun reading!
