    On November 30 of 2017 our AVID department at Thomas J. Rusk was once  again named an AVID National Demonstration School.  We will continue to have this distinction for 3 years.

    The AVID validation team’s report highlighted the campus as a model for gender equity progress and noted “exemplary” student interactions and instructional practices.
