Building Trades Clusters
Carpentry Trades
Students are introduced to the basics of carpentry in both residential and commercial construction. They will learn how to use tools associated with the carpentry trade. They will also learn how to read blueprints, frame, and finish walls.
Electrician Trades
Students learn basics of electrical wiring. They will learn to read blueprints, practice safety procedures, become familiar with hand/power tools, bend conduit, and connect electrical wiring in order to install electrical circuits and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings.
Masonry Trades
Students are introduced to the basics of carpentry in both residential and commercial buildings. They will learn how to use the tools associated with the masonry trade. They will also learn how to read blueprints and lay brick, block, stone and tile.
Students will receive NCCER Certification and will be job ready at the completion of the four year program.
Heating and Air Conditioning
Students learn basic theory, soldering copper tubing, and other skills to install and repair heating and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Students also apply these principles to refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, fountains, and water coolers.
