Principles AAVMC (9th / Intro-year 1):
Career safety awareness,Elements and Principles of art and design are emphasized with development of the hand generated art, design/illustration using pencil, pen, watercolor, printing, scratchboard, perspective drawing, etc. Leadership in SkillsUSA organization is for all level and a local Art 7 Design Club.Graphic Design & Illustration I (10th/ 2nd year):
Elements and Principles of art and design are infused with introduction of the computer and hand generated art, design/illustration, CareerSafe (OSHA) training, Certiport (Adobe) training for certification in level 3 and 4 years of cluster. Leadership in SkillsUSA organization is for all level and a local Art 7 Design Club. Multimedia techniques are refined and introduced in media such as watercolor, pastels, acrylic paint, typography, pencil, pen, watercolor, printing, illustration, etc.Advance Graphic Design & Illustration II (11th / 3rd year):
Students will explore the techniques, tools and processes used in the creation of graphic designs. Students will apply elements and principles of design to each assignment. Designs will be created on Mac computers equipped with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Industry Standard Software. Students will employ the use of other technologies such using digital cameras, scanners and projection tools to create/enhance graphics. Projects include items such as t-shirt designs, posters, logos, digital drawings, special effects etc.Practicum Graphic Design & Illustration III (12th / 4th year):
Students will focus on learning in-depth detail about the elements and principles of design and how they apply to the printed page. Students will continue to develop and refine skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. During the second semester, students will center on the creation of movable graphics (animation). Projects include items such as apparel design (shoes, hats, etc…), movie posters, cover design, short animations, etc.
