Interior Designers focus on people's behaviors in order to create functional, usable and aesthetically pleasing spaces within a building. Interior Design students will have the opportunity to combine their art, math and computer skills to design the interiors of residential and commercial projects.

GRADE 9: INTERIOR DESIGNStudents are introduced to the elements and principles of design, design styles, housing exteriors and constructions as well as textiles.GRADE 10: ADVANCED INTERIOR DESIGNStudents use drafting techniques to plan and draw residential interiors. Areas of concentration include drafting skills, space planning, furniture selection, furniture styles, and project presentation.GRADE 11: PRACTICUM OF INTERIOR DESIGN IStudents concentrate on the design of a commercial office, restaurant, retail store, or medical office interiors. Computer Aided Drafting is utilized and students create a full set of construction documents for a design project.GRADE 12: PRACTICUM OF INTERIOR DESIGN IIStudents have the opportunity to acquire dual high school and college credit by attending Eastfield College. Students receive advanced training in AutoCAD, Revit and other design software. Students can earn up to 15 hours of dual credit and obtain a CADD Operator Certificate from Eastfield.
