Mr. John Doan

Algebra/PAP Geometry

Room: 122

Mr. Doan is from Vietnam and teaches Math at Samuell Early College High School. He balances all his work responsibilities by beginning with the most important tasks and tries to work from the list. His goals for his students this year are to prepare and get them ready for STAAR and college. In addition, he wants to teach them how to be good students and good citizens of this country. His students are the main reason why he comes to work every day and the wonderful feeling of educating his students is what impacted his life so far. Mr. Doan attended to Tarrant College, UT Arlington, UNT Dallas, and Texas A&M Commerce. He likes to fish in the local lakes and watch sports. He is influenced by one of the Vietnamese proverbs that states, “The most valuable thing a human being can give to another human being is knowledge.” Teaching enables him to give his students optimism and make a difference in their lives. If there was a zombie apocalypse, he would camp in his house and hold it as long as he could--and act like he was playing Call of Duty Zombie Mode.
