Ryan Pena received his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University in Athletic Training Education in 1999 and became certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification the same year. He, then, completed his Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2001 and became a Texas licensed athletic trainer the same year.

Pena brings previous career experiences to Dallas ISD in collegiate athletic training, outpatient physical therapy, and durable medical equipment sales. He has been with Dallas ISD since 2004 and enjoys working with the coaches and student athletes of Dallas ISD on a daily basis. Highlights of Pena’s athletic training career have been a rotation as a volunteer at the United States Olympic Committee training facility in Chula Vista, CA in 2007. Pena has also worked with People to People, a traveling youth program, which took hundreds of youth to Europe to compete in Olympic style games.

During personal time Ryan enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with family.
