Andres Gutierrez attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX and was a four-year starting center on the football team. Gutierrez was named the team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player his senior season. After completing his playing career at Ross, Gutierrez served as a graduate assistant there the following season.

Gutierrez has taught in several public schools including Ector Jr. High in Odessa, Woodrow Wilson High School, Wilmer-Hutchins High School, Ft. Worth O.D. Wyatt High School, Bonham High School, Molina High School, Adamson High School and Seagoville High School.

Gutierrez previously served as the athletic coordinator and head football coach at Adamson for four years prior to transitioning into the same role at Seagoville HS five years ago.

Gutierrez’ goal is to use athletics to teach life skills to young athletes and to possibly provide a way of getting them into college. In nine years as a head football coach, Gutierrez has had 23 athletes go on to play college football.

Gutierrez’ philosophy is that anyone can make it, providing they are willing to put in a little effort.
