Our mission at Arthur Kramer Elementary is to develop self-reliant, motivated learners through inquiry-based instruction and student agency. As a learning community, we strive to ensure that students are equipped with the resources they need to successfully compete in a 21st century community, so that they are prepared to change the world for the better.
Kramer is founded on preparing our students to become productive and contributing citizens to our global society through the lens of the IB Primary Years Programme. For this reason, we implemented both a one-way and two-way dual language program. This program teaches Spanish and English through academic content. Our program is unique in that students are partnered based on their native language and are an integral part of each other’s learning. Spanish and English are not taught in isolation but are acquired through learning the content in the designated language. This rigorous program helps develop our students to become global citizens.
Kramer prides itself on our belief that effective instruction makes the most difference in students’ academic performance. Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds and experiences to deliver quality instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Our students are equipped with the technology needed to be successful, specifically iPads for all Pre-K, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade students and Chromebooks for all third, fourth, and fifth grade students. At Kramer, we ensure our students are receiving 21st century skills and becoming digitally literate.
As a campus, we are committed to offering a comprehensive learning experience that includes art, physical education, music/orchestra, and garden. We also provide enrichment opportunities to all of our students, including a competitive math team, garden club, art club, Kids Rock, orchestra, Talented and Gifted, and Destination Imagination.
Our blended community is a fundamental piece to the success of our school. The supportive PTA joins and leads campus events throughout the year. Other opportunities to become involved include Dad’s Club, Site-based Decision Making, field trip chaperones, mentor tutoring, projects for teachers, and volunteering.
Thank you for your interest in Kramer! We are committed to the success of your child, and look forward to you joining us in this vision.
