SAT & ACT Information

  • The SAT and ACT are standardized tests designed to assess a student's academic readiness for college. Test scores are one of many factors that colleges consider when making their admission decisions.

    • Students applying to 4-year colleges should take the SAT and/or ACT, and in an effort to increase college admissions rates, the Dallas ISD pays for all juniors to take the SAT in the spring, and for all seniors to take the ACT in the fall. Both exams are administered during the regular school day.
    • The district funds test prep courses annually, allowing high school students to receive SAT and ACT test prep at no cost

  • Register by October 3rd to take the SAT on November 2nd at one of the following sites by registering at collegeboard.org:

    Highland Park HS

    Lake Highland HS

    Molina HS

    ST. Marks School of Texas

    Sunset HS

     

     

    Register by November 8th to take the ACT on December 14th at one the following sites by registering at act.org:
