Dental and Vision Services

  • Dental Services

Texas A&M Baylor Dental College provides free dental sealants to district third graders. Each semester, dental health providers visit a number of campuses to apply the sealants – which help to protect teeth from early decay and dental cavities. Parents can contact the school nurse to learn if their child’s school is scheduled to receive dental sealant services this year.

    Vision Services

Through a partnership with “Kids Vision for Life,” a program of the Essilor Vision Foundation, Dallas ISD students can receive free vision screenings, exams and prescription eyeglasses. The program’s Mobile Vision Clinic visits 40 to 50 schools each year on a rotating basis. Contact your school nurse to learn if your child’s school is scheduled to receive vision services this year.
