Mr. Lorenzo Benitez - Bilingual TA

Lorenzo Francisco Benítez Justo was born in the city of Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the age of 15, he moved to the state of Sonora. In 2004, he was an advisor to the Sonoran Institute of Adult Education (ISEA). In 2008, he held an Arts seminar focused on the Regional Mexican Dance in the state of Puebla. In 2010, he graduated from the National Pedagogical University (UPN) with a Bachelor of Education.  In that same year, he joined the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP). Soon after he began his summer studies as a Bachelor of Folkloric Dance in the state of Tepic, Nayarit from 2012-2015. In January 2016, he moved to Arlington, Texas. In October of 2017, he volunteered at Joe May, teaching students the folkloric dance, and presented several shows. His talent caught the eye of the Joe May community, and in August of 2018, he started working at Dallas ISD as a teacher assistant. He is currently studying the English language in hopes of becoming certified teacher in the near future.
