    The Perfect Performance

    Education: SOUTHERN METHODIST UNIVERSITY – B.F.A. THEATRE

    Life-Time Teaching Certificate for both Theatre and Speech in Texas

    As a college student attending Southern Methodist University working toward my BFA in Theatre, I developed a summer forensics institute which became the foundation for what would eventually be called The Perfect Performance, LLC in 2003. I have had students, who attended Perfect Performance workshops, become either National Champions or Finalists at the NIETOC, NSDA, and NCFL in a main event every year from 1994-2017.

    As a sophomore in high school, I was the 1991 Dramatic Interpretation NSDA Champion and 1993 State Champion for Humorous Interpretation in Texas.  As a college student attending Southern Methodist University working toward my BFA in Theatre, I developed a summer forensics institute which became the foundation for what would eventually be called The Perfect Performance, LLC in 2003. Throughout my years as a high school teacher and consultant, I have directed 4 State Championship One-Act plays, 2 in Texas (5A) and 2 in Pennsylvania.

  • Technician Track

    All City Theatre is a two week intensive for Dallas ISD actors and technicians to put on three shows June 10-21 Monday through Friday from 8am- 5pm with Demond Wilson from The Perfect Performance at Adamson High School.

    All City Theatre Performances will be Saturday, June 22 @ 5pm at Adamson High School

    Dallas ISD will award 40 acting scholarships and 8 technical theatre scholarships to students who have a passion to grow in their craft. A Dart Pass is included with each admission. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served each day for free. There is no cost applicable. Freshman- Juniors may apply.

    As All City Theatre Technician, you will work all three to four shows in a field that you're comfortable with, a field that you'd like learn more about, and then as a backstage crew member. Technicians will be asked to go through the entire design process and tech process in just two weeks. It is a requirement that all technicians bring a notebook and pencil with you every day.

  • Acting Track

    • Actors, please, complete this Google Form found below
    • Send an audition recording of a one minute monologue to Becky Maymi, All City Theatre Coordinator
      • Due Friday, March 8, 2019.
      • AUDITION SUBMISSION DIRECTIONS
        • Title the email "All City Theatre Audition, Your Name" record ONE short, dynamic monologue.
        • Make sure to slate by saying, "Hi, My name is (first and last name), I am in (grade), I go to (this school.) I'll be performing (playwright's name)'s (play title) as (character name).

    As an All City Theatre Actor, you will audition for one of the three one act plays the first two days of camp. You will then be selected for a role and start rehearsal. You will be expected to have your lines memorized after the weekend. There will be acting workshops on movement, vocalization and creating characters on stage. Please, wear dress code approved movement clothes, your script and bring a writing tool every day.
