Ms. Cristhal Gutierrez

Cristhal Gutierrez became one of the founding team educators of Solar Preparatory School for Girls in August 2016.

Ms. Gutierrez was born and raised in Dallas. She attended Dallas ISD public schools throughout her education: James, W. Fannin Elementary, Robert E. Lee Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School.  Ms. Gutierrez was the first in her family to earn a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.

Ms. Gutierrez has been working for Dallas ISD since 2006. She began her career with Dallas ISD as an Instructional aide. While working as an Instructional aide she earned a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4 from the University of North Texas in 2009. She also earned a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Concordia Christian University in 2014. 

Ms. Gutierrez began her teaching career in Irving ISD as a first-grade bilingual teacher. During this time Ms. Gutierrez was also a Curriculum writer for the district. At Solar Preparatory she transitioned into the dual language program and this year she completed her tenth year teaching. She sees herself as a lifelong learner and truly values the importance of education. Her goal at Solar Preparatory School for Girls is to be able to cultivate the same love of learning for her students.
