Ms. Michelle Touchet
Michelle Touchet is the Teacher-Librarian at N. W. Harllee. She earned a BA in Political Science from TX A&M University, an MA in Early Childhood Education from TX Woman's University (TWU) and a Master of Library Science from TWU. Ms. Touchet has taught in public elementary schools for over 20 years. She has recently earned the designation of Apple Teacher and Apple Learning Coach. These skills will facilitate our transition from library to R.E.A.D. Lab.
She has been a member of the local and state librarian organizations since 2005. Ms. Touchet has been a member of the DISD Luminarias Committee since 2006, assisting DISD librarians with bilingual and Spanish language collection development.
Ms. Touchet is a third-generation Texas educator, following in the paths of her grandfather, mother, father, and older brother. She is the proud mother of two sons—one a sailor in the U.S. Navy and the other a student at The University of Texas at Austin. She has lived with her family in Oak Cliff since the '90s.
