Mr. Adrian Hernandez
Adrian Hernandez is a proud graduate of the Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet in Dallas ISD, being the first of his family to receive a high school diploma. Adrian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Public Relations from the University of Texas in San Antonio and soon after entered the workforce.
At the encouragement of his high school criminal justice teacher, Adrian earned his teaching certificate and began working with at-risk and drop-out students. Following that experience, he taught Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Social Studies at Woodrow Wilson High School and North Lake Early College High School in Dallas ISD. During his time at Woodrow Wilson High School, he earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas, then served as an assistant principal in Garland ISD at Jackson Technology Center from 2015-2018. Adrian returned to Dallas ISD and served at Jose Joe May Elementary during the 2020-2021 school year.
Adrian is married to his partner, Leah, and the couple has two dogs; Ranger and Charlie. In his free time, Adrian enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
