Algebra 2

Alexandra earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Math education from Stephen F. Austin State University’s College of Education. Prior to joining the team at North Lake, Alexandra taught Pre AP Math and Algebra at Medrano Middle School, where she spearheaded the use of one to one iPads as the STEM coordinator for the Digital Promise grant. She has been a Dallas ISD Distinguished Teacher since 2015, and was named campus teacher of the year in 2018. As a Destination Imagination team manager, her teams went to state competition three years in a row.

Mathematics

I am a proud teacher at North Lake Early college HS. I teach Dual Credit Math and Algebra II. I earned a Master’s in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Dallas. I also have a Master’s in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. My goal is to create a liking for Math and to show how it relates to the real world.

Geometry

My name is Jeff Heiple, and I am proud to be a teacher at NorthLake Early College High School.  I am from Louisiana. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Nicholls State University, a Masters of Divinity Degree from Notre Dame Graduate School of Theology, and a Masters of Education Degree from Baylor University.  I am a certified high school mathematics teacher as well as a certified principal.
