• PowerSchool is an easy to use, web-based student information system.  It is intended to provide parents, students and teachers with a tool to communicate student performance.  PowerSchool may be accessed from any place the parent/guardian can access the Internet.  The application is a secure link that encrypts the data to and from the end user.  In addition, a username and password are provided to allow access for only authorized users to the appropriate student records.

Parents and students can access the following information:

• Attendance for the past two weeks or for the whole quarter
• Daily School Bulletin used by the school
• Grades for current classes, as well as the assignments that make up those grades
• Teacher Comments
• Final grades from previous quarters
• Reports via email, which allow parents to request daily, weekly, or monthly reports to be sent via email

Part 1: Yes, information will be pulling from Health Office for student screenings and immunizations

Part 2: No, clinic visits will not be stored in PowerSchool

NOTE: If the Health Office system changes then POwerSchool will revisit the best option to make sure that the new system still feeds the needed information into PowerSchool, if applicable.

• Students and parents can keep track of their grades and attendance. A student sometimes does not know he/she is in trouble in certain classes, until it is too late. Progress Reports given out in the old system, had old information by the time it got home to the parent or given to the student. Now a student knows where they stand and can do something about it before that grade goes to a report card. PowerSchool provides access to parents and guardians to enable them to communicate with teachers and monitor grades, attendance, and homework assignments in real time from home or the office or ANYWHERE there is an internet connection.
