The 70,000-square-foot plus renovation project for Franklin Roosevelt High School will transform the 58-year-old Oak Cliff campus into a state-of-the-art learning complex to support 21st-century learners. The project includes demolition of 75% of the existing campus, extensive renovations to the original buildings, and building additions that include:
- a fine arts addition that doubles as a storm shelter
- competition gym addition
- restaurant and storage space to support the culinary arts program
- a library/media addition
- multi-classroom and career technical education spaces addition
- new cafeteria and kitchen addition
- interior and exterior renovations to the entire campus
- new main secured entry and administrative suite
- upgrades to outdoor athletic facilities
