    Sunset High School is set for a $46 million makeover to the historic 1925 Oak Cliff campus.  The additions and renovations will strengthen the school’s unparalleled commitment to education, tradition and strong parent and community support.  The project will focus on four areas: refresh, rejuvenate and maximize existing areas, security enhancements, improve a sense of place and provide new and enhanced fine arts and athletic facilities. The scope of work will refresh and unify the existing building, providing a much-needed facelift while retaining the building's historic character.  The reimagined Sunset includes: 

    • Restoration of the historic building facade
    • Fine Arts addition including choir and black box theater
    • 1,000-seat competition gym
    • New secure main entrance
    • New storm shelter
    • Expanded and renovated administration area
    • Roof and window replacements
    • Renovated athletics area
    • Refresh and unify the existing building
    • Classroom consolidation onto the main campus
    • New parking lot with pick-up/drop-off improvements
    • Existing classroom renovations
    • Transforming annex classrooms to administrative areas
