    Dear Pershing Parents,

There are times when all of our brains grow tired and we need to energize. Studies that show children 4-7 years old need a brain break every 15 minutes, while older students need one at least every 30 minutes. If you notice that your child starts to wiggle, fidget or day dream, it is recommended that we control those breaks by limiting them to 1 minute or less. Here I have provided just a few from David Sladkey’s booklet, “Energizing Brain Breaks.” I hope that you and our students enjoy and that it adds some fun to your at home learning environment!
