Communication Services offers a full range of creative services and strategic planning designed to share the message of the Dallas Independent School District. We work to communicate the mission and goals of the district as it seeks to raise the academic achievement of each student. Communication Services is committed to providing timely, effective communications that engage our students, parents, employees and community members.
The department provides a wide array of services and consists of the following divisions: internal messaging and marketing, external messaging and marketing, the district call center, Dallas Schools Television (DSTV), news and information, web services, and translation services.
Chief of Communications
Libby Daniels has been named acting chief of Communications. Daniels has been with Dallas ISD since 2008 and has served in a variety of leadership positions, including deputy chief of Communications, executive director in charge of media relations, digital media, marketing, Dallas Schools Television, special events and customer service. She has worked strategically with departments to ensure brand alignment and consistent messaging and provided strategic leadership during crisis management. She brings to the position more than 30 years of experience in communications both in the private and public sectors. Daniels earned her degree in communications from North Texas State University in Denton.
