Thomas Jefferson High School is receiving an $82M renovation and addition. Following the October 20, 2019 tornados that devastated the campus, much of the existing TJ campus will remain and receive needed renovations. The cafeteria/kitchen, weight room/dance studio, and culinary/ROTC areas will be demolished. Additions will be added to the existing building and the addition under construction will be completed. The full scope of the project is below:
- Complete previous 13 classroom addition
- New competition Gymnasium, weight room, and overall athletic improvements
- New Kitchen/Cafeteria
- New ROTC area
- New Engineering, Culinary Arts, and Computer Science Labs
- New library and administration areas
- Renovation of existing educational spaces and Visual & Performing Arts spaces
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements throughout the campus
